Movies For Date Night You Must Have

Going to the movies has always been one of the first ways to show your new date your relaxed side, finding the right movie to watch can help set the right mood and get you to figure out what do women want. For most people it serves a dual purpose – you can spend time with your partner and you can also be entertained together. The reason why a lot of potential couples choose romantic comedies as ideal date movies is that they make people not only laugh but also people to see each other laugh. The more relaxed the time spent together, the easier it is for people to open up to each other at the correct pace. So let us take a look at how some movies make the best date movies ever.

· Cameron Crowe’s Jerry Maguire – If you’re not sure about the choices or preferences of your date, there are some movies that could never go wrong with. Before making a spectacle of his own self on Oprah a few years back, Tom Cruise was known to be a heart-throb. When Jerry Maguire was released, Cruise played a sweet role of an achiever who goes through a breakdown. Most women seem to love that kind of characters. For the men, there is enough pro-football in the background with cameo’s from some players as well. And if all of these were not enough, one of the central characters is a kid who could pull audiences with his cute and dorky smile. By the time Bruce Springsteen’s “Secret Garden” plays during the end credits, your date will already be snuggling by your side.  Although I know its just a movie but it does give great insight to what do women want.

· Zach Braff’s Garden State – We are already familiar with Zach Braff’s work on TV as he and his co-stars make us laugh and cry every week on the hit TV show Scrubs. Garden State is Zach Braff’s message to couples all over that an ideal relationship can also happen in utterly messed up situations. The humor in the movie is subtle and if you’re partner enjoys that movie then it says a lot about him or her, in a good way of course. A lot of couples seemed to have enjoyed the soundtrack of the movie as it appealed to a lot of hip, indie people. As a date movie, one of the best things about Garden State is its repeat value. Unlike most romantic comedies, the collection of witty one-liners, great music and the presence of the ever desirable Natalie Portman make the movie a collector’s favorite for special occasions with special people.

· Richard Linklater’s Before Sunrise/Before Sunset – Rarely do they make movie like this anymore. The understated elegance of both these movies, set ten apart from each other and shot in the same timeline as well, touches couples like no other movie. There is constant conversation in both the movie that couples can relate to. The dialogue is witty, the locales are exotic and the story is engrossing. In fact, one of the best qualities of these two films is that you can use the first movie as a build up to a second date, which gives you more time to spend with your partner.

Movies have always been an integral part of the western, traditional culture of dating, and its a great way to knowing how to attract women by watching the right kind of movies. With the changing times, even a stay at home date over a movie is a great way to hook up with a partner. Knowing which movies to watch, in such cases is very important and if you can get that right, the battle is almost won.
